Founders
Sabina Zlobina
Sabina is the Founder of Ascendra. She studied Finance at a London university, navigating the application process from scratch and securing a placement year with IBM Strategy Consulting – ranked the world's #2 consulting firm by the Financial Times in 2024. She further broadened her industry experience through an internship at Redington, one of the largest investment consulting firms in the UK.
During her studies, Sabina served as President of the university's largest academic society, where she built an extensive network of top-tier speakers and actively mentored students. She has successfully helped over ten peers secure offers from leading firms across the UK and UAE, including McKinsey, Bank of America, Arbuthnot Latham, Tom Ford, Amazon and others. Most of her cases come from tackling limited experience and complex situations, demonstrating her practical approach to real-world challenges.
Maria Fainshtein
Maria is the Co-Founder of Ascendra. She earned her degree in Economics, Management, and French from the prestigious King’s College London, where she began her professional journey in her second year by joining AGIS, a leading international insurance company in France. She graduated in 2024 and went on to join a family office, where she now leads alternative investment initiatives across the UAE, UK, France, and Eastern Europe.
During her time at King’s College, Maria served as President of one of the university’s foremost business societies and also led a multi-ethnic London community group, expanding its membership to over 500 members. In this role, she spoke at the UK House of Parliament on policy reforms aimed at shaping a better future for the next generation. She has curated high-profile speaker events, welcoming leaders from McKinsey, KPMG, J.P. Morgan, Palo Alto, and Apple.
With professional experience spanning both European and UK markets, her experience spans cross border allowing the clients to have access to both of the markets.
